On 21 May (Wed), 2025, students and teachers from the Toyota National College of Technology held a “Let’s make original uchiwa fans” as a delivery class for second-year students at Takatana Elementary School in Anjo City.
\u3000The workshop was designed to encourage the enjoyment of craftsmanship and the fostering of creative thinking skills, using a craft material (uchiwa fan), which is easy for younger students to become familiar with, as the subject matter, and to allow them to work on their own designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3000On the day, the students were given careful guidance, touching on everything from how to handle tools to design ingenuity, heat and manufacturing.The students acted as support for the instructor and spent valuable time with the primary school students, who worked enthusiastically and completed a series of unique works one after another.\u3000For the technical college students, it was also a valuable opportunity to learn practical communication with primary schools students through interaction with different age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
